  • Katahdin Adventure Co. does an excellent job. There were 8 of us on a 9-day slack packing adventure on the AT in Sept 2024. Koty and Danye were our guides and hostel hosts. The daily hikes were challenging but doable, and we kept on schedule all throughout the week. They were flexible with the order of the hikes and the direction of the hikes. They prepared us well for the final hike / climb up Katahdin and back. Accommodations at the hostel in Millinocket were great, too. No complaints and I whole-heartedly recommend them as professional guides who want to ensure you have a fantastic trip, whatever your adventure may be.

  • I just did the 9 day slack pack 100 mile wilderness and Mt Katahdin adventure with Koty out of AT hostel and Outfitters in Millinocket ME (July 19 to July 29, 2024) and I can't say enough good things about this trip. It was exactly as billed. It was challenging and I would never have been able to do it without Koty and his team. He got you up, out, and moving along at a strong pace. He paid attention to each individual and did what he could to make sure everyone succeeded. This was no small feat as each member was at a different skill level. His hostel was clean and well run. His outfitter store handled all of our requests. I broke a pole and he fixed it. Koty was very patient yet firm and beyond knowledgeable. His pro tips were worth the price of entry alone. He took all the worry out of getting through the last bit of Maine. Highly recommend for anyone looking to hike the 100 mile wilderness and climb Mt Katahdin

  • I was lucky to have been guided through the 100 mile wilderness in northern Maine and summit Katahdin by the brand new Katahdin Adventure Company. The founders and owners, Koty and Danya, are wonderful hosts, knowledgeable hikers, and skilled guides in this challenging portion of the Appalachian Trail. The accommodations on this slack-pack trip were outstanding: very clean, comfortable, and nestled in the wonderful small town of Millinocket.
